Bet your construction zone can't compare...

T o pac's... From June 13th till August 1st construction has closed the two main roads where pac lives...

The easiest and closest way for her t o get into town. Is going through the Saguaro National Park...

A backroad of twists and turns that goes through a small section of the park. The actual park has two separate areas with their own visiting centers, that covers over 92,000 acres. That pac had never been on the road in her year and a half in Tucson still amazes her!

The view when your in the actual park is breathtaking. Hundreds of saguaro cactuses on both sides of the road. Saguaro cactus can only be found in southern Arizona's Sonoran
Desert region...

A saguaro cactus matures at 125 years old. Some of these huge Saguaro's would be hundreds of years old. As they grow so slowly. These large cacti can have a water retention capability of 200 gallons...

pac hopes you enjoy the pictures. And if anybody goes through a better construction zone than her. Let us all know...

Ugh. Construction zones and summer. Just synonymous. Enjoy your views. I get steel plates, orange cones and cops standing in the shade instead of directing traffic.

Yeah Ron...
Normally it's the same thing here...
Even though it inconvenient and adds additional
time to my trips. The scenery makes up for it...

Oh pac, the construction I am navigating is nothing like this! So beautiful. I would probably keep going through after construction once in a while.

Nature certainly is awesome.

Don't think I've got room for one of those on my windowsil.
Don't have the climate for it either.

I hear that Dave!
And amazingly I have had more problems growing
cactus in Az than anything else. Which just makes me laugh...

That is amazing and beautiful. At least something positive came from all the construction.

pac369 replies on 6/24/2022 8:01 am:
I agree B!
Even though I can't see the construction progress...
Yet I have a new way into town when I just want
to enjoy the view...

Pac very beautiful scenery. These are the treasures one forgets to look for, because we live in a hurried world that makes demands upon our time causing us to look for the quickest way to get from point A to B. We miss out on seeing what Mother Nature has put on show for us.

pac369 replies on 6/26/2022 8:53 am:
Absolutely NN!
And for many months I resisted using the road because
it would be to slow! I am just as guilty as so many others.
But now I know the road and will use it when I have extra time...
