Fine Friday Well, the rain has finally passed with lots of lightning and wind. I wish those cold fronts would just stay up north. Here's a pic someone took of lightning striking out into the ocean just a little north of me.  With all that said, today is beautiful but a little windy and we're expecting a big rocket launch today. A rocket carrying the first crew of commercial astronauts will be heading to the International Space Station. There is always some type action going on here and I thought I'd add a little eye candy.  |

Nice. I used to live where lightning and thunder was relatively common in the summer and liked the variety. Once, lightning started a very small fire just across the highway on the shoulder from my house (on 20+ acres of never cut forest) and had to call the local fire department to deal with it.

Whenever I see the lightning pic, there is a line from the movie "Meet Joe Black" that comes to my mind, where Sir Anthony Hopkins says to his daughter to stay open, cause who knows, lightning could strike... Whan a scene that was... awesome as this pic you shared, HJ
