Yeah, I'd have stayed for THAT one, the storm was bad but there have been SO many in recent years that were FAR worse. What I WOULDN'T do, is build a house THAT CLOSE to the beach there KNOWING that a single storm could take that entire house out to sea if it's BIG and BAD ENOUGH...

I also can not believe how close the houses are on the beach! On that note I was a building contractor building beach houses, back in the day, in Florida...

I was going to live in the outer
banks area but got run out in
2019 by hurricane dorian.
That whole cape hatteras is
known for severe weather, thats
why the coast guard has a big
base in elizabeth city.
