Unions Demonstrates Why Socialism Fails

The UAW strike is a perfect example of how socialism works. Senior Union members are protected with laws, seniority, and unique product knowlege, but the junior members are left holding the bag. Junior members paid union dues just like the senior members, but they did not pay as much, so you are first on the chopping block.

Meanwhile, Senior Management has to now make decisions on how to move forward. Yes, auto sales are fantastic now (how lucky), but your companies are totally underperforming the rest of the market. Earnings numbers are good now, but not future growth. There are much better investment opportunities elsewhere.

So here are the options Senior management has for meeting union demands:

1) Cut compensation packages of senior management and/or senior union leadership. A noble, but unlikely self sacrifice.

2) Borrow more money at ultra high interest rates to cover these new costs. It is only money.

3) Shutdown plants, layoff workers, and/or send jobs to cheaper areas of the world.

Which option do you think they are going to choose? Nice to know in this socialist-like system that worker knowledge, level of competence, skillset, experience, education, ability to a work in a team, and work-ethic are not too relevant in this process.
