BDSM and the Law continued - PUBLIC LAW

PUBLIC LAW
What we're talking about here is what happens when you leave your house, in bars, at events, on the street. The same laws that I listed in the first post on BDSM and Law still apply, but now we have some new things to contend with as well.
Liquor control board rules
Impersonating an officer (for you uniform enthusiasts)
Carrying weapons
Indecent Exposure / Public Lewdness
As to the crimes noted above, the main thing to remember is this, when you are out in public, not everyone is aware of the negotiations you and your partner have engaged in and therefore, what you know to be consensual may not look consensual from the outside. That 3rd party may call the cops because what you are doing doesn't look consensual.
UNIFORMS
You may not impersonate a police or fire official. Basically what this means is don't wear an exact replica of a law/fire enforcement agency whose jurisdiction you are in and do not ever hold yourself out to be a police officer/fire fighter. Do not put any real or fake weapons in a holster if you are out and about. You might also choose to wear an overcoat/jacket when going from car to bar.
LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD
Please don't put our friendly bar owners out of business by doing something that violates the Liquor Control Board rules, Fire codes or City ordinance. These rules are much stricter than you might imagine and the penalties for violation are stiff. In many jurisdictions, it is unlawful in a bar for staff or patrons to expose their nipples, any portion of pubic hair, anus, and cleft of the buttocks, vulva or genitals. To encourage or permit anyone on the premises to touch, caress or fondle the breasts, buttocks, anus or genitals or another person. To permit anyone in the bar to wear a device which simulates any of the areas not allowed to be exposed. To permit anyone to perform acts of: intercourse, masturbation, sodomy, oral copulation, flagellation (flogging), touching, caressing, etc.
Definitely check the laws of your own state, county and city as well as administrative rules propagated by the state liquor control board to find out what's legal and not where you live. If you are traveling out of state for an event or party, check that states, counties and cities laws as well

So a little titillation with a remote control vibrator is against US law? Wow!

Some states have archaic laws they never repealed. In Massachusetts, an old ordinance declares goatees illegal unless you first pay a special license fee for the privilege of wearing one in public. And All men must carry a rifle to church on Sunday.
AND A woman may not be on top during sexual activities.
Swearing at sporting events if you’re over the age of 16 is still against the law... NEVER enforced, lol

I'm not a lawyer but...

It isn't illegal to dress like a police officer. You can literally have the same gear, you can buy a decommissioned police car.

And yes depending on your state's law you can be armed, carry pepper spray etc.

You'll see security firms dressed like cops, driving ford explorers with lights all the time

What you can't do is identify yourself as an officer or enforce laws.
You cant wear any labels identifying yourself as the police, your car can not have any label identifying yourself as the police..
And you can't have red and blue flashing lights or use the sirens.

You can buy their uniforms, can drive their retired vehicles and can use the lights as long as you use say purple and orange.

All perfectly legal...the local cops may not like it..

But yes legal...I know this from watching multiple cop impersonators videos on YouTube.

This guy literally runs a funeral escourt business where he dresses like the police, rides their old bikes..

You go ahead and try that.
You can't have the exact uniform, badges and patches in most states. I KNOW you can't in MA. They will consider that impersonating an officer. They may not prosecute, but it will screw up your night. As far as cars, it's illegal to have the bar lights or a dome light in MA and VA at the least. And you can't use the official door decals of the department.
YouTube, like this post, generalizes and is not specific to all states

I don't rely on YouTube... I Googled state statutes.
