Protocols and Rules part 2 Every BDSM relationship has some sort of Protocols and rules. Whether written down or verbal. This is part 2 of some common Protocols and Rules that are used by Dominants in their dynamics Permission Protocol The sub/slave partner must not take certain "normal" actions without permission. They might be mandated to ask for permission to use the bathroom. Asking permission to orgasm. No masturbation without permission. Permission to speak when using speech protocols. Permission to use computer or phone. Exiting the Dominants vehicle when being returned to their home, or exiting the Dominants home to return to their own home on their own after visiting. At Rest Protocol When not doing anything else, the sub/slave partner can be instructed to return to a specific spot or adopt a specific posture until told otherwise or dismissed. Some dominants like to keep their sub/slave partner close at hand so that they can serve them if required. Some prefer to keep them out of the way, in a corner of the room. Furniture Protocols A set of rules based on how and when a sub/slave can use furniture. Whether the sub/slave must ask permission to use the furniture. Asking permission to be seated for meals, if allowed. Permission to get into bed and out of bed. Permission to remove collar for bathing/showering Decision Making Protocol What types of decisions can the sub/sub/slave make on their own? Do they have to consult the Dominant before making the decision? Privacy Protocol A rule that a door may never be closed between the Dominant and sub/sub/slave, including the bathroom door Passwords are given the Dominant for computers, phones, and websites etc... Sexual Protocols Oral sex protocol, anal sex protocol, what positions are preferred. Waking the Dominant Sexually in the morning. Thanking the Dominant for orgasms. Domestic Protocols The household cleaning schedule. What time to make and serve dinner? Does the sub/sub/slave have limited autonomy on the cleaning schedule or how to set up the kitchen, needing only the Dominants approval? Public Protocols Rules for the use of titles in public or to replace the title with a term of endearment [I.E. My Love, My Dearest] Rules for Attending BDSM parties, events and<b> clubs. </font></b>Who the sub/slave may talk to freely, how to address Dominants. What to do if either Dominant or sub/slave needs to use the rest room. Where to stand or sit, or kneel in relation to the Dominant’s position. Domestic Protocols Household chores schedule, and if the Dominant or submissive makes the schedule. Meal times the Dominant prefers. Meals the Dominant prefers. Protocols for work or education How long does the submissive have to get home from work/class? Check in times. Decision making protocol. Approved attire for work/class. Discipline for poor performance and rewards for good performance. Allotted time for homework or at home job work. |
