WHY in the summer???? My landlord decided to have new siding put on the house. Great, it needs it badly. But in the middle of July and summer? The house is OLD, as in ceramic shingle siding old. So everything has to be stripped off before putting the new siding. That means dust, dangerous dust, lead paint too. So all my windows are covered in plastic from the outside. In 90 degree heat. Can't use the window AC units either, covered over. Gonna be a LONG few days, maybe I'll sweat some weight off.  |

Yeah that doesn't sound like the best planning. Here in the UK they have issued our, (I believe), first ever Red weather warning for Monday & Tuesday. 90f tomorrow, 106f for Monday & Tuesday. I don't know, maybe in Florida their going meh, just another summer day. The thing is we're not used to it, I'm now where near the coast, at least 2 hours in any direction, so no cool sea breezes & almost no one in the UK has air con. I think sleeping for three nights is going to be difficult. At least I can keep my windows open, hope the work on your place is done soon.

I have lived with AC in Florida when young and dumb. I had a small clawfoot tub that I would sit in with a fan far enough away to be safe but close enough to give me a nice breeze. I would stay in until bedtime some nights. Good luck! Stay hydrated!
