Ever have a vibrator or wand die while you are edging or just on the verge of allowing the climax?
Ever look around and found the piece of equipment you want or need next is in another room?
Many of today’s new lifestylers, looking for that quick fulfillment, don’t prepare for their scene play properly.
Now something will go wrong every now and then, no matter how prepared you are. Wands and vibrators do die after a long life, you find a specific piece of equipment will work great at a certain point, but it’s not handy, because you hadn’t planned on using it.
Being prepared is an important part of scene play, even if you don’t script it out. Having the toys in the same room you intend to play in is really so basic, but not always thought of.
Making sure the toys are in good condition is also basic. Making sure they were cleaned after the last use is basic. Having some type of organization for your toys and equipment is a basic preparedness.
But what happens when the unforeseen happens? Are you prepared to adapt, improvise and keep the scene going? Or do you just say, “OH SHIT!” and everything falls apart.
Do you have that mental inventory of your toys and equipment, so you can substitute one for another?
Do you have lube handy, even though your partner NEVER needs lube? Just in case?
Do you have safety scissors, not only for quickly freeing the submissive, but, just in case, the rope tangles, and you can’t get it untangled without stopping everything.
There are so many things that can, but seldom do, go wrong.
BUT, a good Dominant AND submissive will be able to quickly adapt to the situation, if it arises, and if it isn’t a safety issue.
Being prepared can prevent a lot of frustration and have your scenes running smooth until you WANT the scene to end with both of the partners satisfied. And that’s a better ending than, “Oh Shit!”

Thank you for the tip. Very important, specially when safety is at risk.
