Staying hydrated is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Many Dominants make it part of the dynamic protocol for the submissive to drink the daily recommended intake of water each day. While it is always a concern year round, it is especially important in the hot summer months. A submissive with plenty of duties to take care of in a day can easily forget to hydrate sufficiently. Even MORE importantly is hydrating during scene play. The longer you play, the more intense you get, the more you lose body fluids and electrolytes that need to be replaced. Sometimes plain water isn’t enough to replace what the body loses. Not replacing these lost fluids and electrolytes can result in light headedness, dehydration, feinting, stiff joints, diarrhea and if you lose enough, the malfunction of internal organs. Dominants, also should stay hydrated. Being lightheaded or foggy brained from dehydration would not be an acceptable circumstance during a scene when the submissive is depending on you to be clear headed and aware of what is happening. So stay hydrated folks, and remember, alcohol, not only doesn’t mix with play, it does not rehydrate you, but instead drains more of the fluids and nutrients that you need. © 7/6/23 Ronald Dirienzo

Hydrations really important. Whenever I'm doing a scene with a squirter she has been given plenty of notice to hydrate several days in advance. I want to see her spray like a garden hose and also have her body in the best condition. Even if she's not a squirter she gets the same pep talk. Howling at the moon and mal ad osteo.

try some liquid IV. Mixed with water it's equivalent to drinking 3 bottles of gatorade. If you buy a case of bottled water it's easier to keep track of your intake. After liquid IV I recommend following it with 2 or 3 bottles of water during the day. I cant say how much you should drink because my normal amount is at least a gallon during the day. If you drink as much as I do it's even more important to take in electrolytes. Oh...if you're so dehydrated that you're confused or have trouble focusing your thoughts. You're on the way out. Drink water before you're thirsty.
