House Speaker Mike Johnson just accidentally obliterated the Republican Party’s favorite conspiracy theory: that the January 6 insurrection was carried out by undercover federal agents and members of antifa. Johnson told a press conference Tuesday that the GOP is editing footage of the insurrection to prevent the Justice Department from potentially identifying rioters. “We have to blur some of the faces of persons who participated in the events of that day because we don’t want them to be retaliated against and to be charged by the DOJ,” he said. And with just one sentence, Johnson has given away the entire game. Republicans have spent the past nearly three years insisting that the riot was caused by antifa, Black Lives Matter protesters, and even undercover FBI agents. But if that’s true, then why would the GOP want to shield those people from identification? BECAUSE THEY WERE ALL REPUBLICAN PARTY MEMBERS?TRUMP LOYALISTS! And the video is how most of them got caught ALREADY. Because the UNEDITED version shows all the violence committed! Once again, the Republican lies are proven wrong. This time by a man that has spouted the lies at every opportunity.

try to think critically. how does the GOP have jurisdiction over what footage investigators see? of all the LEO and facilities/secirity cam footage how much have you actually seen? reducing this to a bizarre set of partisan talking points whichever side you fall on does not do you, an individua citizenl or the country any good. it is easier to work back from the eventual extremely abstract consequences and extrapolate from that who did what, why and what their motives might have been. the founding fathers opposed political parties and built some of the republic's check and balances to stop a cynical dynastic elite - a de facto aristocracy that would eventually emerge from being able to cycnically game the system. howevere all that has eventually come to pass and over the last century or so not only has the republic reached a sorry state, civically, but also politico-economcally the corporatist arm of the permanent managerial class has sought to extract every last drop of wealth built either on the backs of the american citizen's labor and ingenuity or their actual tax dollars. then there is the deliberate socio-economic decay currently being presided over the precious party you think has your back,. spoiler alert: none of them do. but here you are posting partisan zombie talking points while rome burns, so to speak, i always thought our sub cultures were classically liberal because we valued freedom and having outsider ideas but i see just lockstep conformity with whatever we are told is happening. sad days

The point Ron was making is that Johnson was so concerned about the DOJ pursuing anyone in the security film he admitted that his staff would edit and blur faces to protect such individuals. Whenever you edit a film or a photo for that matter, it is to direct the viewer's eye to what you want them to see or not to see. It's his concerns, intents, and thoughts that betray the dear Speaker. Why? "BECAUSE HE KNOWS THEY WERE ALL REPUBLICAN PARTY MEMBERS?TRUMP LOYALISTS! If they knew the rioters were all BLM, Antifa, and FBI undercover agents then the staff would put circles, and arrows throughout the video to point them out, then do what tRUMP wants to do if again made President, SIC THE DOJ ON THEM! The point of him doing this is not to inhibit DOJ investigators but to prevent ordinary citizens and civilian groups that have recognized rioters and turned them in from being able to do so again once the full videos are released
