The worthiness of a Dominant should be a major concern for any submissive.
Three words to think about when considering the worthiness of a prospective or current Dominant are:
SAFETY - HEALTH - WELLBEING
If a Dominant is not committed to keeping his submissive safe, why would he be worthy to serve?
Never be afraid to question prospective Dominants about safety.
Do they enjoy bondage? Ask if they have safety scissors handy at all times.
Do they enjoy choking? Do they know how properly so they don’t crush your trachea? Can they do CPR if you stop breathing?
Hot wax? Do they know the proper wax to use and how to drip so they don’t inflict severe burns that will leave lifelong scars?
A submissive should also learn about any kinks they or a Dominant enjoys so they know what questions to ask, AND know the correct answers.
No worthy Dominant would be angry about safety questions, before or during a dynamic. Trust goes both ways and a submissive must not only trust their Dominant, but trust THEMSELVES to know when to say, “This is unsafe.”
Unless you have a death wish, SAFETY is a priority.
Health, goes hand and hand with safety.
A Dominant should be committed to keeping you healthy. But beyond safety, it includes caring for the submissive when the submissive is ill or injured. Seeing to the submissives preventative care with Doctor visits, ensuring medications are taken as prescribed.
A Dominant that doesn’t care about a submissives health with in all likelihood cast the submissive aside when the submissive is no longer healthy enough to meet the Dominants needs.
Wellbeing also goes hand in hand with safety and health. But it includes not only physical health, but mental and emotional health.
If a Dominant cares little about the submissive mental wellbeing or emotional state, they are just using the submissive for personal joys.
A Dominant should be committed to a stable mental state in the submissive as well as the happiness of a submissive.
Why submit to a Dominant that doesn’t care if they drive the submissive insane or keeps the submissive unhappy, angry and regretful?
A submissive has much to consider when judging the worthiness of a Dominant. And remember, everyone evolves and as we evolve, worthiness can change.
Don’t jump at the first Dominant that looks good. Judge the worthiness carefully, and KEEP judging constantly. Don’t get in a rut, or get desperate and accept unworthiness.
