Without imagination, life would be very boring. Doing only what you see others do, never thinking of something different would leave us in a rut of lifelong proportions. Imagination in the BDSM Lifestyle can transform a dynamic from a monotonous set of protocols and standards into an exciting existence… OR a hellishness life or pain. How you use your imagination is just as important as using your imagination. Imagination allows us to think of and use different bondage positions, come up with different disciplines and punishments, and methods to entice and thrill our partners. It allows ourselves to indulge in fantasies. But imagination also requires the use of common sense and the adherence to safety measures. Unchecked imagination can lead to dangerous situations that are either unsafe or insane, or both. There are things in our imagination that should be left to pure fantasy, not practical usage, no matter how intriguing or exciting they may be.
