Temper-Temperament Article in comments |

In the BDSM Lifestyle, there is no room for a bad temper or temperament. Not from a Dominant and not from a submissive. A Dominant with a temper problem fails at self-control and should not be trying to control another when they can’t be in control of themselves. Temper flare erode trust and respect. Instills fear in the submissive instead of the feeling of safety. Temper flares can cause the Dominant to cross the line of limits and boundaries, break protocols and agreements that were negotiated with the submissive. Erratic tempers will most likely lead to the failure of the dynamic and possibly abusive behavior. Submissives with poor temperament can try the patience of even the most patient Dominants. Temper flares by submissives lead to discipline and punishments that probably will not help the issue and possibly fuel the flames of the temperament. Submissive with temper problems and self-control issues should not expect a Dominant to be the cure. Like Dominants, a submissive should have self-control of their emotional and mental faculties before entering into a dynamic. If you can’t control your own temper, you should not try to control others or expect others to control you. It’s a losing proposition. © 3/12/24 Ronald Dirienzo
