Hypocrisy and Apathy: the war within

Early this morning at the Denny's in Kingdom City, MO I was winding down after a play party; it was was pretty good; not epic, but enough as I became peckish. So I stopped in for a early early breakfast.

As usual, there were truckers getting coffee and a bite before hitting the road or hitting the bed; there were young people eating while drunk or high or both. The noise was discernible so I could make out what was what.

On the whole, I am not an eaves dropping type of person. I can tell when someone wants privacy vs someone who wants attention. I can tell many things by observation alone, but this is a story of concerns.

The trucker's main concern was fuel prices. None of them seemed educated in finance, mathematics, inflation, economics, etc so I could've gone over and taught them a few things, but I didn't. Next, they moved onto the lingering problem since Covid that there just wasn't enough drivers. Again, supply and demand isn't too difficult to comprehend, but I let it go.

In the end as they retreated back into the darkness of night and into the fray of I 70; the trucker's war was with things outside of themselves. No one person can affect inflation and fuel price index is inelastic. Mic drop.

Now, we move onto the young people from nearby colleges and schools; the so-called educated class of Americans. Our future (or furniture).

Their concern was war itself: Team Russia vs Team Ukraine.

For someone like me; game theory is quite easy. So I don't flinch when another game player makes a move. Putin has a much bigger prize in mind far beyond that of Ukraine. But these young people worried about "another war". I inferred they were referencing the 20 year American war on Terror in which they grew up in. That war had been present their entire life and made changes that they could feel. I can't imagine any of them; apart from being delusional, were making an argument that Terror or Muslims or Taliban or the World was now a safer place because of American foreign policy. Furniture is function and decoration.

The youth look lovely tonight, but their language game is uneven.

When China invades Taiwan to expand Naval operations the world will be in awe or shock or some shit like that, but when a country becomes a world power land acquisition is part of the ritual. See the how-to manual.

I ate what I could get down, but in listening to the two groups I lost my appetite I suppose as the food got cold.

As a creature of cognition and sensation, the universal problem will always be the human condition itself. It is the war within that will cause the greatest amount of damage.

Both groups this morning told everyone else how they felt about current events both local and abroad. But Americans as humans don't like truth; and the war within is real and it is true.

It doesn't have to be fought. If you do get hurt you don't have to heal. You can sit this one out and no one will think any different of you, because they had the same thought as well.

The pro life Christian will not lift a finger for the of Palestine as the bible indicates Israel is the sight of Rapture.

American politicians behaving badly won't even cause a blip on the radar screen of the standard American voter.

Hypocrisy and Apathy make this all possible.

Don't care. Go back to sleep. Sit this one out. Be a Champ. Sit them all out.

Be a whiner. At least you'll be heard.
