Legal weed and permission Once again there are marijuana legalization mandates on ballots this November; and I am sick to death of them all. I hate the idea of people infatuated with the idea of asking for permission from the state or the people for doing something. It really bothers me that as we move along the 21st century this is still how we see ourselves in a society. The "legal" aspect of it makes me sick. I have been partaking for decades along with other things, and just because there is law doesn't mean it is going to alter my behavior. When I was younger the "illegal" variable made it cool n stuff. It was like living on the edge or at least the hint of it. But now there is regulation and registration. I hate the idea of somebody knowing my business at any level. I always respected drug dealers as they are both rogues and entrepreneurs which might be the same thing. Yes, there are a few that are problems, but mostly people in business to do business and no judgment is passed. The drug dealer is just a functionary of the supply demand principle. The voters in my state get another chance to make it legal. I say no. It is a horrible law and gives total power of drug exchange to the state. Government should have no place in activities of Vice. |
