Don't Look Back

One of my favorite movie quotes, which has proven to be so very true in my life is: "Don't look back, it will drag at your heart until you can't do anything but look back." I think we all do that from time to time. When life is throwing new challenges at you and you were perfectly content to stay where you were. But in the end it's okay, because if you didn't have that challenge you couldn't grow. You wouldn't meet those new friends, you would never know how strong you really are, and achieving something you thought you could never do? That is to me is a great satisfaction in life. A different kind of orgasm but just as pleasurable! It reminds me of when I was in elementary school and I had always been too afraid to climb to the top of the monkey bars. One day, I just went for it. Even though the bell rang that recess was over when I was almost to the top, I kept going, the thrill of the adventure drove me on. I actually did have an orgasm just because it was a thrill and I did something I never thought I could do. Stuff like that is what makes life such a rush!!

Reminds me of when my daughter was young and we'd be watching a show on TV where one person was running away from another and always looking back at the person pursuing them. Inevitably ( not looking where they're going ) they'd run into a tree, pole, etc. and get caught. I'd always say to her, "Always look where you're going, not where you've been."

I remember that. When we saw a dead squirrel in the road, I'd always say, "It forgot to look both ways." The theory was always to instill life lessons and remind her to be safe.

Taking on the new challenges you desire is always an exciting adventure. Confronting and conquering the 'unknowns' ... Always moving forward in a safe manner. Overcoming trepidation and fears.

Those monkey bars were no challenge at all once your mind was made up. As is noted on this site a gazillion times, "It's all in the mind". You must get a certain amount of satisfaction whenever you see a set of monkey bars. As such, orgasm to this!
