Consensual Slavery

What kind of people become consensual slaves & live it as a lifestyle? If you ask typical vanilla people, the answer would probably be masochists with little or no self-esteem, who feel they can't do anything else, so they become slaves. They can't do anything right so they need an Owner to decide for them. I won't dispute there are many slaves that fit the description. That type of M/s relationship is usually short-lived, though. People tend to forget that DSS (Domination Submission Sadomasochism) activities are just a blip in the 24/7 world. How much time can be spent in the dungeon? For me, "proper usage" is a euphemism for DSS activities!

A wise slave understands servility is the heart of a successful Consensual Slavery relationship. A slave must have one purpose, which is to serve their Owner. Their singular goal is to please that Owner. If suffering for their Owner's pleasure is required, that is how the slave will serve. I'm not really much of a masochist, but suffering for another's pleasure can arouse me. If a person doesn't enjoy servitude, but only the DSS activities, they should face the fact they are a sub, not a slave.

What's the difference between a sub & a slave? A sub can choose how much to submit. This applies to both sexual & non-sexual activities. A slave, once the ground rules have been laid, has no choice but to obey. If this feels too restrictive or if either person needs to "take a break" for a time, then CS is not for you. You've only been role-playing.

Another doomed type of CS (in my opinion) is when the relationship is based on gender or race superiority. I think it's gimmicky & ephemeral. The same goes for misogynistic or misandry people. A relationship with a woman wanting a male slave because she hates men won't last long! Rachel frequently trained slaves for Owners (usually females) or potential slaves hoping to be marketed. One time Rachel trained a Black woman," for a White racist. She actually referred to herself as a "n____r slave. She constantly lamented she wasn't born 150 years earlier & a slave in the antebellum South. I doubt it lasted very long. Of course, if a person wants their slave to be a robot, that's a different story too.

If people think that a slave fits a stereotype, they are wrong. Dead wrong. I have seen powerful business executives, business owners, civic & educational leaders serve their Masters & Mistresses. Once they walk through their own front door, they are on their knees. Figuratively speaking, but not always. Surprised? Some people are in charge & dominant every moment of every day; work & home. But others, don't want to decide anything after leaving work. So a slave needs to choose their Owner wisely. The slave may know better but they've given control to their Owner.

I have also seen or heard of many who could be slaves but are too afraid to make the leap. It's understandable since we in the lifestyle are considered low, only a step above criminals. But it's still sad. I also know there are many potential slaves out there who don't know it & never will; it's latent. It just takes the right person to bring it out.

There are 3, possibly 4 components to a Consensual Slavery relationship: servitude, assimilation, DSS activities & maybe, just maybe, love. Servitude I've mentioned. Assimilation (or absorbed) means how well they adapt, adjust, accept & embrace all that a slave goes through. That includes the loss of free will, too. Love is the coup de grace. If you love your Owner, you're on top. But becoming a slave just because of love or it's the only way of holding on to the person is a mistake. It may work for a time, but it won't last.

If a slave has to love their Owner (or vice versa) the odds are against them. Not only do you have to love them but you have to be a DSS match. The odds aren't good, but it's worth the effort.
