The Ego Self And The Slave Self  I am becoming evermore aware How much the Ego self Helps me in "Public Life" It does not However, Have a place in my slave self The ego self Handles business Life responsibilties And protects me from harm The slave self Depends on the Master For all of that and more And yes, I have a voice And am asked for my opinion Slowly peeling away the layers of my ego self Allowing the slave self to rise It Is something I can't put into words You have to go through it To comprehend it Lets just say It doesn't happen overnight And it is deep It is scarey it is euphoric Been in training Been away But I feel more humble today Debra |

Oh, absolutely! I, so recognise this. That inner struggle, from the inside ego, who helps you/ me to survive in daily life, and the inner urge to fully surrender, to the leadership of my master.. It only can be a slowly proces..... You/i survived for years, with our outward 'ego'..... peeling bit by bit away.... to find your deep inner self,

well said. i understand completely. it's really hard to be the same in both environments and sometimes even harder to juggle both parts of your life. Whats the expression? your alternate life is usually opposite of what your "ego" or shall i say vanilla life is. I have fond that to be true often.
