Fun with Fakes, Part one!

Welcome to “Fun with Fakes!,” an attempt to make a lighthearted look at how to spot a fake, expose them, and fuck with them as long as possible to generate their rage and your satisfaction. Few points first:
Who am I: I’m an old school (aka pre-internet) player that loves the scene and hates fakes. More dom but occasionally switch depending on the mood—which makes me a target!
Who this is not about: pro-dommes and findommes. One provides a service, another a fantasy and—more importantly—they’re be up front with you right away. As I have friends in both communities, please hold off on the hate mail.
Who this is about: the vast cabal of (usually foreign—I’m thinking Nigerian or Ukraine depending on the language) of troll farms that are trying to snap you, trap you, and leave you dry. No mercy as they will show you none.
Why this blog? If you’re a real person on Alt (and it seems oh so few are), you’ve undoubtedly met a fake of various degrees of (usually bad) skill, intent on luring you in and taking your money. Let’s learn to spot them.
Part One: The profile.
Rule number one: if it seems too good to be true, it probably is! Let’s face it—while we love real people in the scene, most are not super models who know exactly what your fantasy is and are so willing to talk about it. So always keep rule number one in mind: is this too good to be true? It usually isn’t.
The Profile: The profile provides the first clue to fakery, and there are oh so many of them (“But noose, you might say, are you not providing a list for future fakers to fix?” Nah, says I—most are simply too stupid, arrogant, or just don’t have the time to do so. We’re good. And besides, finding a “deep fake” is even more satisfying!” Let’s press on and start right at the beginning with the profile particulars.
--The Date of Joining: for those of us of moderate creativity, limited internet skills or both, the profile page took some time to set up (we’ve all been there). Fake sign number one is a professionally done page made—yesterday. Alert.
--The Photo rule of three: Photos are a fun thing—a lot of us have them, a lot of us don’t. Fakes always do—and almost always they are solidly in rule number one (too good to be true). A very common technique by fakers is to follow the “rule of three”—3 photos, one that’s sort of a “glamor” shot, and two “girl next door.” In other words, photos that can be readily collected from just about any facebook profile out there, and most certain were.
--The ProDomme look: ok, maybe they don’t follow that rule. Next is the “pro-domme” look—a gorgeous gal laid out in the leather of your dreams. Tell me more! Or rather, tell me where you got it. Maybe that’s real, but how many players have outfits like those—not to mention a professional photographer-- laying around that aren’t pros?
--The Description: and then of course there’s English and the description, a tale under itself. We’ll save that for part two.
