IM points eating scam?? Why is it that 2 out of 3 IMs I send are not delivered, but alt takes my points??? Anyone else having this problem??? |

I know it's just free points being burned up, but it is rather aggravating. Why would anyone pay too use this site?? Hey alt, maybe fix this and I may just consider paying for gold again. MAYBE.

This has been an issue for years but it has been worse lately. Undelivered Ims and the site indicating someone is on IM when they are not. It's one of the reasons I am no longer a paying member. Total rip off.

The IM has been useless forever on here. I think part of the problem is that the IM does not update quick enough to show when a user has left, so we can be messaging someone who is not actually there. BUT, this does not explain why it is still crap. Even when I have managed to connect with someone, it will stop delivering messages at some point without even saying the message has been delivered. There is no point complaining, people have been complaining about this for decades. Alt just does not care. At one point IM was totally free, then it was 20 free messages a day, then 10, then 5, now it is points based, for both sides!

Sometime people listed as being "online" or on IM aren't, some people stay online and on IM even though they aren't monitoring their computer or phone so they really aren't "online" on the chat line. If you notice that someone is always online when you go online, that is usually the case. Also, those aren't 'free points' for free members, when you use up all your points the only way you can get more is to buy them. It pisses me off when someone IM's me and I pay 15 points to reply immediately and then they never bother to respond. This site has gone way done the shit hole over the years, cutting back services and deceptive practices like listing people as gold members in searches but if you hover over their picture you see that they aren't gold members.

i know it is frustrating. It is the same for the sender and receiver, someone sends an IM and you reply and it costs 10 points but they are no longer on IM. Very frustrating. To get points, put up a blog post, add a picture that people can like and you get a point for each like. Update your status and people can like that and you get a point. At least there are ways to get those points back Hope

There's THAT and if you go perusing the 'profiles' and find someone you think is interesting, pay the fifty points to be a 'top fan' only to find that they're profile is "No longer Available" or that they haven't been on here for over 3 months. WHY are their profiles STILL 'UP" on the site if they're no longer available OR why haven't profiles of those that haven't been on for more than three months PURGED, or AT LEAST put in a 'category that they "Haven't been on for three months"? I'll answer that question, Alt wants to RIP PEOPLE OFF, that's WHY!!!!

I have only used points to chat on IM so far. I wouldn't mind so much if the message was actually delivered. But taking my points and not delivering the message, well that's just a ripoff in my book. Plain and simple fraud.

Why don't we start with the fact that Alt "creates" profiles.
