First meeting

My heart was pounding, I tried to slow my breathing but I couldn't, because I can't stop thinking about you. I sat on the bench waiting for you as we planned, but I didn't know if you would really show up, and if we would actually do what we've been talking about. To be honest, I can't believe I'm here waiting for you. Some of our conversations went off the rails and didn't seem real, yet, that made them all the more exciting.
It was a little after dusk, while I obediently sat at the bench, near a light, but still in shadow as instructed.
It was five after seven when I saw you. I wanted to get up and go to you but I knew I couldn't, it isn't what we talked about. I think you saw me too, because you seemed to walk a little faster towards me and you could see I was dressed just how you told me.
You approached me and asked, "Have you seen a running in the park?" I said, "No, but if it's your dog, it is very lucky.", we both smiled and then you said "Are you a good dog?" I said "I want to be.". You put your booted foot up on the bench, I leaned down and kissed it, keeping my head down I looked up at you, meeting your beautiful eyes. Then you said, "You might be a good dog." you put your foot down, reached into your pocket and pulled out a collar. "Do you want this?". "Yes Ma'am I do." I pulled down the collar of my shirt, you leaned forward, and placed your collar on me. I was so happy, and then you said, Let me take you for a walk and we went deeper into the park, away from the lights.
