2 years into my personal battle 2 years ago today I started a battle to save my life. I started with a devastating medical diagnoses. Severe Lung disease with major complications. I was told I would need to a Double lung transplant in 5-10 years at best. After crying and a panicked call to my mother, I took the first step into the biggest fight of my entire life FOR my life. I quit smoking. Cold turkey. Over the course of the last 2 years I've had to adapt in a few major and some harsh ways. I have to wear a medical mask into all medical and government facilities. I also must wear a mask in large crowds. I have to constantly use hand sanitizer and have a few bottles spread around the house. I cannot be around anyone who is ill as my lungs have rendered me immuno-compromised. My heart is in amazing condition. My vascular system is also gorgeous. My cholesterol levels are beautiful. My blood pressure is amazing. The biggest surprise my Dr's have had is that I'm not on oxygen as my O2 stats are still at 97-98% and I'm only functioning on 39% of my lung capacity. I don't present my condition like they think I should given the severity of my condition. I am VERY thankful for every moment of life I have now. So, if I chose to spend time with you whether you are an individual or group, please know that it's because I feel safe to do so and that I trust you enough to not kill me. There are not many left that I call family or a real friend. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MY MEDICAL CONDITION JUST ASK. PLEASE! |

Hello, abletemptress, Having suffered from reactive airway disease in the past, I salute anyone who can turn a respiratory condition around. Exercise and eliminating foods that casue inflamation were key to my recovery. Best wishes, and feel better! ~tamethispony
