She's totally BOSS I hate my job. Not what I do, but where I work is...............a test of fortitude and will every . It's not the customers, which would make sense, It's the ridiculous expectations of the company itself. Big business has HUGE expectations from us little guys that are the faces and whipping boys of the biz. That being said, MY BOSS FUCKING ROCKS! Like most centers, phone agents get surveys sent to customers asking how we did. Yesterday I had a person give me a big fat zero. T.he bosses have to pull and listen to any calls that a customer as less than amazing and then pull us in to 'coach' us on how to do better. Today my boss calls in, sits down and says "The lady was nuts. YOU were perfect and couldn't have done anything better or different than what you did, just like you usually do. tempted to her back to see what and why she rated you like that for a 3 minute where you did what she asked immediately, happily and even had her glowing because you told her how she helped someone else." That's the downside of customer . Even happy people push random buttons instead of just saying 'no'. I was touched that she was THAT offended on my behalf that she wanted to confront this person (professionally of course). She also invented a hashtag for cuz she thinks my way is something for teammates to aspire to. In between blushing I was just cracking up. Not me. Nope. I do my job to help those who have the same need for help I have. It's just really nice to have someone in your corner in a place where most are for themselves and data overrules demeanor and people skills. I need to send this to someone I know that works in a call center and many ppl feel so miss treated. He would love to hear how you feel that way. He's a trainer for the call centers of a few places and hears stories of hell form ppl being so indignant. Would you mind if I forward this to him? T

Yes, there a few good bosses left in the workplace. Quite often a mid level boss is stuck trying to please "the man" all the while engaging on a daily basis with the worker bees. It is a hard road......believe me.

Hey wait a minute there are lot's of spectacular bosses aroun d! Everyone makes errors daily and we learn from them and others. I'm a boos and I'm great to the people who work for me. i was in their position before and know the challenges they face and i try to fix them and make things comfortable for all.

I have found, that people like the one giving you the zero rating are after something, usually something for free or some sort of discount. Because they have learned that if they push buttons like that, many retail companies will give them compensation to overcome the bad rating. When I worked as a Manager for a Care Rental company, we had frequent travelers who did that nearly every time to get free rentals for their non business travel. The kicker was they were very wealthy and could afford the rentals. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

*harumph* Only someone with wallaby wounds would see no issue with a dingo deficiency. I dont want to know how a ding a ling feels dingo pain. Can we save it for next year? But I cant delay a trip to Baskin Robbins. They have pumpkin cheesecake ice-cream. Friday road trip for real! You mentioned it a while bac and I meant to check it out but Ive still never seen flipping vegas or anything close to it. I did however catch a "Dude, You're screwed " marathon that had me enraptured for an entire weekend. LOl NOoooooooooo dust farms. Especially not in Ohio. I still haven't recovered form laughing over BigBoy the B&E billy goat last month. Those rural folks have some wild times, I tell ya. My whole building has great supervisors and every last one of them rose up from doing the job, so they know first hand what is possible vs what is expected. It makes a difference and makes them great bosses which I am grateful for. Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. I dont know how income affects it but I can say with 100% certainty after close to 20 years of call center work, that elderly women are the most petty and harsh inattentive survey takers. I can just fire or ignore them for impertinence if they change their minds. Or I do. Ok not really but I would, so that's why Im NOT anyones boss and you are.
