Crackpot jackpot Post in comment section Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others. -Marcus Tullius Cicero Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached. May'be that cute little one over there or that one that sits alone in the inky black. ~~ 'My place amongst the stars' c/o former member SPB ~~ |

Thankfulness is a strange street to walk down. Do you consider yourself wealthy? If you can read this post, you are wealthy and able to afford luxuries. Internet service, no matter how dependent on it we've willingly become, IS a luxury not a necessity. There is much in my day to day that I take for granted because it has always been available and common. I don't think of myself as generally wealthy in terms of money, but that is incorrect compared to so much of the world. I've had my own car since I was 18. I've been able to lived on my own most of my adult life. I was born in a country that is far from perfect, but as a female I never doubted my right to a voice or a choice in how I lived my life. I never had a night where I went to bed hungry or alone and afraid as a child. I always had and still do have a base of amazing family members who support and encourage me in any and every thing I do. I never really thought of myself as wealthy financially speaking, but I am so very wrong, rough patches and all, and for that I am very thankful. Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached. May'be that cute little one over there or that one that sits alone in the inky black. ~~ 'My place amongst the stars' c/o former member SPB ~~

I agree. One of the great benefits of travel to other countries is to get perspective. To live overseas is even more instructive. Otherwise we swim in a sea of unexamined assumptions about culture, the range of human behavior, etc.

cuzi I agree!! We are fortunate to live where and how we do ! and that, does not mean we either want or need to be billionaires!! A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw Jenny

There is much in my day to day that I take for granted because it has always been available and common. This sums it up for Me. Although we're currently fighting like cats and dogs, we live in the greatest country on earth. Totally. It's a shame more people don't seem to understand that. Never hurts to look in the mirror though, does it? Of course not. We should always strive to become even better. Make Women Female Again

MM/~ I used to feel like that daily but havent really even though about my gratitude let alone appreciated those things recently, hence my attempts to refocus. It seems to be working Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. Im grateful for where I live but my fellow country men., from the top on down to the gutters, are becoming national embarrassments with their entitled and proudly irrational displays Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. [image] That's just crazy talk having a pressurized house and a test tube maybe. **Pulls you over my knee for a vigorous and impressive gratitude adjustment** Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. To some degree, I agree with that. Its not good to live your life how you think others want you to unless you're clueless or fucked in the head a bit. Oh for fucks sake! Whatever you and the scooby gang are up to now, let it be known that you arent off the hook for my cake, you meddling kids. I mean it! Are you proud of yourself? I had to go learn how to find and post GIFs cuz your comment left me speechless just opening and closing my mouth like some big eyed fish. I had no idea it was so hard to FIND pics of fish lips. Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached.
