Talents, natural aptitude, advanced skills....we've all got at least one.

Some people are wonderful speakers, others writers. There are folks who you naturally gravitate to because of their warm nature or the way they listen and engage. People who sing or play musical instruments, care for children or the elderly, form accurate and clear reports or can explain anything to anyone by breaking it down. People who are bottomless pools of never ending energy and those who are so calm and chill they can ease any crisis.

It doesn't matter how or where these gifts came from, each person has something inside that they can share to help others. Support of the emotional, physical, educational, spiritual or financial kind can be done in many ways and places and sharing of ourselves brings a return that usually exceeds what we gave.

Libraries, hospitals, shelters(animal or human), medical research, tutoring, job skills in your filed, home or car care, cooking, dancing, donate an overburdened closet full of work clothes and shoes. If you've got it you can flaunt it and share the wealth.

Without garnering likes, clicks or fans(sorry youtube personalities).

I'm one of those who can spare cash more than I can commit time or skills so Ive been a collector and donator to various charities since my teens. Some have changed, a few have not.

I am blessed and grateful to be able to give to others in small ways here and there. I'll never know what item or dollar went to who or how it helped, but there are enough WORTHY people and causes out there to make me thankful that I can and do help.

This is a very questionable stat. It says that out of every hundred people, one guy is stupidly rich - do you believe that is true?
Beyond a certain point, money serves no purpose since you can buy anything you want - Mr Buffett is well beyond this point. To his credit, he (and Gates) use some of their wealth for philanphropy.
There are 2200 Dollar billionaires in the world out of a population of 7 billion, roughly 4 per million or 0.00003%. Now you don't need to be a billionaire to be mega rich, but it puts the claim into perspective.

By definition, in the US, to be in the top 1% you would need to have an annual income of $435,000 and a nett worth of around $10,400,000 .

By the standards of most people (certainly the bottom 80% who have a total nett worth less than that of the top 1 these people would classify as 'stupidly rich'.

One doesn't have to be rich, wealth or 'whatever' to help someone else out.

To Me, it seems it's either in your heart or it isn't.

Giving when you're wealthy is easy ......

Yeah, but God bless them too!

I'm all for donating items to places such as the local church thrift store, the SPCA thrift store or even taking items I can no longer fit into (lol) to work to give to the girls. You will always find someone in need and any help means so much.

I agree we should help those less fortunate

I try to be selective however to whom I give and donate more to a few ….

Ah Cuz,

You are a good person through and through. A lot about life is giving and sharing with those less fortunate. So I need to dust off my Good Deed hat and make some noise.

Flips you two nickels for your troubles.

All statistics are questionable and should be questioned, since statistically speaking most who like using them do so with questionable agendas.

The quote(which was less than 1% of the post) referenced luckiness and ability to give as the prominent point, not the vast differentiation of wealth attainment or distribution, but I can and will happily address your question.

All statistics factor in an average margin of error of about 5% (3-8 is the norm) so going from 0.00003% to 1% with a reasonably high confidence level, 1% is well, WELL below that accepted and acceptable average margin of error considered, so yes, that particular statistic is accurate as hell. To within 1% even!

I dont need that kind of income to meet my needs, thankfully. Cornbread, pot roast and veg are under 10 bucks and can feed me for days. Im already rich.

Yep, you nailed it, the eyes that decide rich are very far apart in where they view it from. The plateau of discontentedness seems to be pretty even though

Spot on. Some people are more dedicated(maybe natural) givers than others and what or how much they have to give doesn't even factor into it. They just....give.

I'm an offspring of one. Its humbling stuff

You rock. It really can make a HUGE difference. Us ladies have a high turnover rate in our bath towel and wardrobe replenishment, especially business dress. Its a darn good way to help by donating to womens and pet shelters.

Good for you, love. Im glad you can and want to help be it ones close to your heart of just a general need.

Im not a 'give till it hurts" kind of person, but to me its important for me to share when I can, but I'm with you on selective and considered gifts. As I briefly mentioned above, there are organizations that I once supported that I no longer do because I do look, research and have my own standards on what I want to see my gifts do. Even legit ones have 'expenses" but I have a fair % expectation that I want to see.

Heya Toots!

What an incredibly kind thing to say. I'm not feeling very through and through anymore. Its kind of a bummer but I do still believe that I have so much more than so many.

You have a good deed hat? Ok this I will stick around to see not that I doubt it bbbuuuttt.....who can resist a feel good fedora, right!

Good thinking, 2 nickels is way better than a dime. It gives you one to share.

Now about me singing 'put another nickle in, to the nickelodeon".....
