Poetry in motion Day 5 of 30 April is national poetry month in the USA and while I do follow along with my local library's daily selection, this year instead of writing my own poetry or sharing a classic of another, I am sharing my picks for songs, well lyrics of a song, that I consider pure poetry. **POST IN COMMENTS** Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached. May'be that cute little one over there or that one that sits alone in the inky black. ~~ 'My place amongst the stars' c/o former member SPB ~~ |

We all have them don't we? Those poems as songs that roll over you like a tidal wave, making you close your eyes, open your ears, throw your head back and tune out the world as the tune itself drowns you in feeling! It can be sweet or sad, moving or numbing, quiet and gently stirring or fierce and loud. The feelings that is, though often the music matches the lyrics especially when the writer does the music and lyrics. I often wonder who or what is the reason behind their poetry in motion. Up above I see specks of silver in the evening sky Specks of gold in the river running from the deep moonlight See us shake in the wild distortion of the water's waves Still I know you're in the darkness shining from a mile away When the sun starts coming through Or when the cardinal chides the moon I believe in energies, that no one has to see for us to prove I believe in you and me and everything we'll ever see and do Hear your voice come across the pillows, whisper sweet and low In the dark we're disappearing, in the dark we'll go Up above I see specks of silver in the evening sky Specks of gold in the river running, from the deep moonlight When the sun starts coming through Or when the cardinal chides the moon I believe in energies, that no one has to see for us to prove I believe in you and me and everything we'll ever see and do The rain pours down in a million rivers All through the sand with the silver slivers And it keeps on coming How it gives my heart blood How it gives my heart blood When the sun starts coming through Or when the cardinal chides the moon I believe in energies, that no one has to see for us to prove I believe in you and me and everything we'll ever see and do I believe in you and me ? Matt Pond "Specks" If you've been swept away by a poem put to music or can help sweep me away, please join in and share your ocean of emotion/poetry in motion as well. Thank you so much all who have offered suggestions & shared selcetions, it is greatly appreciated. Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached. cuzi This is another great piece A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw Jenny

I'm sorry but if Peggy Lee singing this song doesn't give your genitals a stir you need a tune-up. Peggy Lee Fever Lyrics Never know how much I love you, Never know how much I care When you put your arms around me, I get a fever that's so hard to bear You give me fever, when you kiss me, Fever when you hold me tight Fever in the morning, fever all through the night. Sun lights up the daytime, Moon lights up the night I light up when you call my name, Because, I know your gonna treat me right You give me fever, when you kiss me, Fever when you hold me tight Fever in the morning, fever all through the night. Everybody's got the fever, That is something you all know Fever isn't such a new thing, Fever started long ago. Romeo loved Juliet, Juliet she felt the same, When he put his arms around her, He said, 'Julie baby you're my thing' You give us fever, when we kisseth, Fever with the flaming youth Fever, I'm on fire, Fever yea, I burn forsooth. Captain Smith and Pocahontas, had a very mad affair When her Daddy tried to kill him, She said, Daddy-o don't do that He gives me fever, with his kisses, Fever when he holds me tight Fever, I'm his misses, Daddy won't you treat him right. Now you've listened to my story, And here's a point that I have made Chicks were born to give you fever, Be it farenheight or centigrade They give you fever, when you kiss them Fever if you live your life Fever 'til you sizzle What a lovely way to burn What a lovely way to burn What a lovely way to burn What a lovely way to burn...

Lyrics can absolutely distract from musics ability to calm and soothe though thankfully there are some that can do both. Remotes? lol No way can anyone know how to use the entire thing regardless of age. The mfg put buttons on there with no purpose, Im sure of it! I dont know if the world could handle more than one of you, but honestly, I couldn't imagine the world without you. Consider it adoration rather than reverence from me. Figures--the only time I get offered service it required a wooden mallet Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached. May'be that cute little one over there or that one that sits alone in the inky black. ~~ 'My place amongst the stars' c/o former member SPB ~~

At least that is what fox news is reporting about cumid-24. Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character.
