Poetry in motion Day 8 of 30 April is national poetry month and while I do follow along with my local library's daily selection, this year instead of writing my own poetry or sharing a classic of another, I am sharing songs, well lyrics of songs, that I consider pure poetry. Poetry in motion as it were. **POST IN COMMENTS DUE POOR SITE FEATURE MAINTENANCE** Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached. May'be that cute little one over there or that one that sits alone in the inky black. ~~ 'My place amongst the stars' c/o former member SPB ~~ |

We all have them don't we? Those poems as songs that roll over you like a tidal wave, making you close your eyes, open your ears, throw your head back and tune out the world as the tune itself drowns you in feeling! It can be sweet or sad, moving or numbing, quiet and gently stirring or fierce and loud. The feeling that is, though often the music matches the lyrics especially when the same writer does the music and lyrics. I often wonder who or what is the reason behind their poetry, their emotion in motion. What I feel, I can't say But my love is there for you, any time of day But if it's not love that you need Then I'll try my best to make everything succeed Tell me, what is my life without your love Tell me, who am I without you, by my side? What I know, I can do If I give my love now to everyone like you But if it's not love that you need Then I'll try my best to make everything succeed Tell me, what is my life without your love Tell me, who am I without you, by my side (X2) What I feel, I can't say But my love is there for you any time of day But if it's not love that you need Then I'll try my best to make everything succeed Tell me, what is my life without your love Tell me, who am I without you, by my side Oh tell me, what is my life without your love Tell me, who am I without you, by my side? What is my life without your love Tell me, who am I without you, by my side? George Harrison "What Is Life" If you've been swept away by a poem, whether or not put to music and can help sweep us away, please join in and share your ocean of emotion/poetry in motion as well. Thank you so much all who have offered suggestions & shared their selections, it is greatly appreciated. Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached. Oh, another non known (to me) from an awesome songwriter. Thank you so much again, sweet Sarah. Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character. At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached. May'be that cute little one over there or that one that sits alone in the inky black. ~~ 'My place amongst the stars' c/o former member SPB ~~

Huh. That is VERY 1970s east end 1880s too now that I think of it. I cant disagree, snip em or sow em up is often the best solution before there's a problem Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character.
