Poetry in motion Day 27 April is national poetry month and while I do follow along with my local library's daily selection, this year instead of writing my own poetry or sharing a classic of another, I am sharing songs, well lyrics of songs, that I consider pure poetry. Third time trying to post this............ We all have them don't we? Those poems as songs that roll over you like a tidal wave, making you close your eyes, open your ears, throw your head back and tune out the world as the tune itself drowns you in feeling! They can be sweet or sad, moving or numbing, quiet and gently stirring, fierce, hell no, fuck yeah, or fucked up and loud. As cute as the lyrics are the fun of this song is its music and laa dee dah tone of her singing. Even if you know it by heart, if you haven't heard it this week, go take a listen and skip the reading here. Its a great fun song with a lesson to remember about THEY. Ha, the only reason I even know who ol Richard is, is because my BBFs mom had several of his albums. I love piano music and noone can compare to Jim Brickman says my heart. Violins, piano, drums, horns.........they all have a time and place and versions of songs we like best. The beauty of our place in an interactive world. Imagine all we wouldnt know or have heard if we'd been born even 100 years ago! Im not sure who adam or paula are, but I do love a good ass(male please) and a non sarcastic smart ass.
