circulus vitae, thankfully

Every this month until Thanksgiving, think of one specific thing that you are thankful f0r and post. That's the goal anyway.

Today I am thankful f0r:

The Lion King opening song.

Animated original, reboot or stage version. Doesn't matter.

May the day never come that I don't burst into immediate breathless tears of awe and joy when I hear that spine tingling, hair raising, soul stirring and the heavenly harmonic answer.

It moves in 2 0 2 1 as much as it did in 1 9 9 4 and for that I am impossibly grateful.

Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character.
At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached.
May'be that cute little one over there or that one that sits alone in the inky black
.

I'm thankful to be traveling through life with my eyes open and an open mind that can see what my eyes can't. Develop your mind. An education is the only thing you'll ever have that cant be taken away.

Yes! Some songs will always move us

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You and Me Against the World
Helen Reddy
You and me against the world,
Sometimes it seems like you and me against the world,
When all the others turn their backs and walked away,
You can count on me to stay.
Remember when the circus came to town
How you were frightened by the clown,
Wasn't it nice to be around someone that you knew,
Someone who was big and strong and looking out for
You and me against the world,
Sometimes it seems like you and me against the world
And for all the times we've cried I always felt that
God was on our side.
And when one of us is gone,
And one of us is left to carry on,
Then remembering will have to do,
Our memories alone will get us through
Think about the days of me and you,
Of you and me against the world

A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw

I'm thankful for all that Motown music that my parents listened to as I was growing up. The Four Tops, The Temptations, Aretha.......the list goes on and on.

I'm glad to hear that your eyes, mind and memory are fully functioning.

So very true. Some songs have super powers.

    Quoting  :

One of these days I am so going to bend your smart mouth self over my knee!

I do love Lion King and finally got to see the live version last month for the first time. 20 yes after just about everyone else in my family.

Hmmm I've seen (by referral)videos of rib eaters and food judgers. The old lady was a hoot if it's the same ladies.

Heartbreaker??? Well it's no Danny deck chair but music and dancing is usually a plus for my showtune lovin' self.

Except for Rock of ages. That should have been fantastic just for the soundtrack alone but it fell so short. Thank goodness for Tom Cruise. His hypno boob staring craziness saved that movie.
