Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character.
At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached.
May'be that cute little one over there or that one that sits alone in the inky black

Im not sure if you're a liberal dem, allergic to the idea of conservatism and reps or if you're just anti label, sooooooo yep, both often and fondly get heaped back at ya.

For sure. For example, lol I don't know half the songs some people listed. I'm trying to get a listen in on those each time I log online. It makes some interesting, and sometimes damn scary background music!

    Dear Lost in the 80's,

I used to joyfully abuse myself while dieing bullet riddled and trench coated in a downpour in the arms of a Lauren Bacall look a like as Toto blessed the rains down in africa. I think Camus would agree, it were a happy death.
Bahahahah

Silly boy!

I was LOST in the 70's.

In the 80's I was FOUND!

Now Beat It, Mr Roboto, before I Walk Like an Egyptian, Over the Hills and Far Away and come Electric Slide all over your Jive Talkin ass!

PS: I will have you know I own 2....count em 2 backstreet boys CDs so I even entered the 90's.

Sorta

I don't like "challenges" they usually bring out the fightin' side of me. Right now, I'm just wondering if, you're lonesome tonight. Tonight I was going to write to all the girls I've loved before, but decided to only write to you, cuz you're so special, in my eyes. Well, hope I haven't said anything wrong, but if I have, well, you can knock me down, step in my face, splatter my name all over the place!
I have to go now, but, I'll be seeing you in all the old familiar places.

Don't ask, it all just fell out of my mouth as I sat here wondering what the heck to say.

Nice list

VERY FUNNY, J! I don't know if I could have done lyrics that well. No...I KNOW I couldnt.

Thank you for the laugh

I think music is the ultimate in communication. It existed before we did and will continue to exist after we are all gone. It transcends our earthly selves, though not everyone will appreciate all of everyone else's tastes. David Byrne just came out with a new book wherein he mentions that he stopped listening to regular "music" and was listening to the music in the things surrounding him. I know exactly what he means, since while I LOVE music, I also LOVE the songs in nature that are there for us all to hear!

I can't really pigeonhole my music to certain moods, but would take a cue from what turned my partner on and be thrilled with that I think (if I had a partner, that is).

BTW, I saw "The Nuge" open for Aerosmith years ago. He got the crowd so pumped it was unbelievable, but then within the first few songs Aerosmith just made it all go away. Sadly it was during their "testier" mid 80's periods... .

Music IS the ultimate connector and I enjoyed your take on it.

If you can keep from over thinking it too much( I struggled) and just feel your way, Id love to see your list *hint hint*

I like wild men. Nugent fits the bill. The love of barely pubescent girls though? Not so much. Tyler fits the wild in a different way, but it isn't mine. Run DMC or no, lol the 80's were a weird time for Aerosmith or hell any previous rockers. The music didnt change as much as the look of the folks did. Not all men do girly boy glam well. I think it took until....91ish? with what it takes to see them back in top form.

If there was anyone who would understand that songs attraction I knew it would be you, Ms Soph. You's one hell of a woman!

Lol the chants, I've never done(for scening), but tribal drum music is the freaking BOMB for drum circles and rhythm play.
