Alternates

What if? What if your life was a lie? What if your dreams were not yours? How do you really now what you want is what YOU truly want? Why does emotion have to cut so deeply? Especially during the pivotal times of growth? Why must we always ask questions?

I guess because we are humans...

At some point in our lives we make a mistake, it can be small or big (and what is small or big does vary from our perception) but for those who truly think it will have an impact and will cause the person to pause at the point when a new choice needs to be made. Ameena, it can be hard to live with but it does show that you are an exceptional human being

If your life is a lie how can you tell?
You need an external point of reference to make such judgements and that can be difficult to find in your own life. Mostly we rely on those we trust to do this, but if everything is a lie and is made up we loose that point of reference.

You never really know what you want until you no longer have it.
I have missed things that I never thought were important, and lost things that have meant more than my own life. Value is relative and can usually only be judged from a distance.

Emotion cuts us as deeply as we feel it. If you do not feel you do not get hurt.
And they say that being hurt make us emotionally more mature, YMMV.

And I think most people ask questions because they either want to know something or are seeking an external reference point.
