No Longer Too Early

In case you haven't noticed, early voting starts in a number of states in less than a month. Those voters will be voting when Trump's performance has put his support in the toilet. For the Trump supporters wh o swallow his m essage of fear, something t o actually fear. Be afraid.... be very afraid.

Trending Now. Coming soon a neighborhood near you:

I follow the polls t o see how they're trending, not t o see how things are right now. This one -- comparing results over time -- is more meaningful than a single snapshot, though all are informative some degree. Everyone knows poll results can change, and the race will inevitably tighten, but long-lasting trends are another matter. They're not like individual polls. They indicate staying power.

What these polls tell me is that Trump is going t o have t o spread his resources veeeery thin t o cover all the Battleground States where he is in trouble.

The most important immediate consequence these polls have is on Trump himself. They mess with his head. The effect is obvious in the way he behaves, sending faux military forces t o Portland t o provoke the violence he needs as a diversion from his failure, peddling the most outrageous lies and conspiracy theories.

People w h o can’t handle the complexity of modern life or w h o need blame external forces for their own screwed up lives latch on t o conspiracy theories.

Donald Trump’s super power is that he actually believes, or presents a convincing facsimile of believing, the most absurd conspiracy theories. He is his own fog machine. He is a super salesman, but his sales pitch is a con.

If you are planning to vote via absentee ballot:
Verify that you are registered
Request your ballot ASAP
Follow all instructions: sign inner envelope if needed
Mark ballot properly
Put ballot into inner envelope, seal
Seal outer envelope. Bring to official ballot drop box or bring to local post office at least a week in advance. Ask for it to be postmarked by hand.

They are destroying the USPS taking out sorting machines and cutting hours of postal employees to "save money" ~ what a crock. Not one republican says a word of protest. It's called rigging an election. In other words cheating. It is just awful to watch this on the news. It is sickening.

i am related to one and well acquainted with two others who voted for Trump last time and won't this time. i am acquainted with two Independents who sat it out last time and if they vote this time it will be for Biden NOT Trump.
Unfortunately, Indiana looks like it will go for Trump again this year. If your friends and relatives live in a battleground state, however, it could make a big difference whether they vote or sit out the election. Every battleground state vote will be important if we're going to save this country from the peril Trump's venality and incompetence has created. I hope you're a skilled persuader.

Well if Biden is the best you can come up with i pity the USA so he can keep all them perverted child abusers safe or are you all scared Trump will expose all the paedos and bring the house down Epstein is the tip of the Iceberg
Save your pity. You're the one who needs it. You're obviously illiterate. Otherwise you'd know that Epstein, Maxwell and Trump were the Three Musketeers. I suspect you were out in the back alley sniffing their discarded panties and shorts while Prince Andrew was inside getting his ashes hauled by abused teen-age girls.

I'm glad you agree that Trump is toast. Too bad you don't get a vote.

Well said. My sister and her husband voted for tRUMP in 2016. When I asked them why they said he was a successful billionaire and maybe we need to give him a shot.

Well now they've gotten a good look at him and they realize they had no idea the package they were voting for. Needless to say, they're awake like someone slapped in the face. NO vote for tRUMP this year. So what does this mean.? Well, I see it as a trend that has changed the minds of many. tRUMP's about to be slapped in the face with the realization that you can't fool all the people all the time!
We all have our in-laws, I guess. Some people never figure out until it's too late that when you've been playing poker with a strange crowd for half an hour and have't figured out who the pigeon is... it's you.

Trump supporters will counter with the claim of greater enthusiasm for Trump. This is belied by Trump's fund raising. At the end of the first quarter he was $182 million ahead of Biden in funds raised from all sources. By the end of the second quarter he was $51 million ahead. Biden will catch him in the first month of the third quarter and and surpass him by more than $100 million by the end of the quarter.

There is no greater indication of enthusiasm than being willing to part with money to support a candidate. Biden has greater enthusiasm.
