New Portable Cage

We really like playing with cages. We've had a portable cage for as long as I can remember and about 4 years ago we built a small "permanent" cage in the bedroom. The portable cage we keep in a traveling bag and take with us to hotel meets.

I love keeping a sub in the cage and tormenting them with various toys and attaching clips to their nipples and tying them off to the cage as well, be it their cuffs or hair. I especially like tyiing off long hair to the top of the cage to keep their attention. Our femdom friend also seems to like putting my sub inside it and tormenting him while he's locked in.

When the portable cage was first purchased my sub was able to stay in it for a few hours and on occasion spent the night in it. He wasn't that comfortable but he was able to go through the night.

Over the years we've found he isn't as spry as he once was and the time he was able to spend in the portable cage reduced tremendously. At the time we bought the cage is was a good fit but now it makes moving around very limited. With age of course moving around in it is very difficult.

With the addition of wooden poles I really didn't want to stop playing with the cage but minute sessions were not fun either. So we started looking pet stores for a new portable cage and that's when we found the existing cage was a medium. It looked like a large sized cage would work fine and we ordered it to be delivered, which was a trick in itself, as the model we wanted wasn't available in the store or had the option to be delivered to the store. Our hope was that the packaging wasn't like the last cage box that had the cartoon picture of a resting in the cage. Luckily it came in a somewhat plain brown box with very little description of what it was and it was quickly taken to the garage.

This past weekend we finally had an empty house and were able to bring it in to try it . My sub took it to the bedroom to unbox it and figure how to put it together. I figured it would take a while as the old cage could take about 5- minutes to put together, and that was with years of using it, as everything had to be put together so I left the room. My sub called into the bedroom after about 2 minutes so I thought he needed help but he said "check this out" and set up the cage in 30 seconds. My how cage technology has improved! LOL. Everything was pre-attached and you fold it certain ways to set it up. Oh, how nice this one is.

Of course once it was set up I had to have him get inside to see how he fit. The first time he got in it was on the bed so it was a little tricky but he fit so well inside it. The bars on the bottom were an issue as they pushed up off the mattress so he had to adjust for his knees. I kept him in it for a few minutes and had him move around. After he got I even gave it a try to see how much room there was, not that I'll be in there at all. LOL.

We moved it to the floor and he got in once again and the bottom bars were much better with the solid floor. He tried a of positions in the cage and I kept him in it for about minutes as we were limited on time to get it back to the garage.

He also brought the wooden dowels in and they also fit through the openings so they will still be able to be used. I really like forcing subs into various positions while they are inside. Hopefully we can get to the hardware store before we use it again and more.

Looking back, I really like it! I think he will be able to stay inside for much longer periods. Also, the bottom pan will be needed when the cage is used on a bed so the sub inside can stay in longer. While I like them to not be comfortable, I don't want them injured and having to stop play.

Congratulations on building your cages. If you look further in the blog you would see we have a permanent cage as well. Wire cages fit our needs when we are travel as I like to torment the sub inside and why the post started off off titled "portable". Everyone has their own way of using equipment, what works for us may not work for you but doesn't mean its wrong.

Great post. It's amazing how technology can move on so quickly and things that were complex suddenly become easy - like assembling a cage quietly and inobtrusively.
I hope you have a huge amount of fun finding new ways to use it.
Good luck and have fun.
Spanks

Ms. Jay,

Yes we are not as spry as we once were. But he does look comfy curled up on the doggie pad.
i have always wondered, what if he needs to "go out" during the night?
