Bed Restraint Modifications This post will repeat as the first comment. A couple of posts ago I mentioned how we used a shorter spacer bar for having my sub sleeping tied. It has worked well but we both had some issues with it, mainly the wooden bar and metal connections. For me it was when I cuddled with him and my foot would always rest on the d-rings or locks. That was very irriating. It wasn't soft and it would wake me up. For him it would be the lock digging into his ankle or a d-ring getting stuck in place and pushing into him. He would try and wiggle his foot to free it but then he would wake me up. He looked for an alternative solution to the wooden bar and found a couple of devices online that fit around the foot of the bed with multiple d-rings but they looked very flimsy. The fact that we do things that really make he struggle we needed a more secure solution. Instead of buying something he decided to make a device out of leather. One of the things he wanted to do was keep any locks from being included and having the connections to our existing under-the-bed restraint system far enough to not bother us. But also being able to remove the cuffs when we needed to use them for other types of play. Using a wide leather strap he cut loops into the leather so that a smaller leather strap could go through it and secure a cuff in place. He then add snap connections on each end of the smaller strap so that the cuffs could be removed easily, but would not be able to pop out if he struggled. Larger d-rings on each end of the larger strap secures it with the restraint system further from our feet as well. The last d-ring in the center of the larger strap connects it to the rope at the foot of the bed so that he can't move the connections up. With his hands tied to the top of the bed he has limited up and down movement. Even less if I use a hood a secure that to the head of the bed. So far the couple of tests runs we have done it has worked great and we have actually slept much better. He only has about a 1/2" of play that he can move his feet now as well. With the wooden bar it was almost 2" of wiggle room. My sub has been able to make a few leather restraints that have come in very handy. Ms. Jay bleash; |
