The culture war I don't know about you, but I don't want to live in a country or a world controlled by religious fanatics. Humanity has lived through that before and we labeled that time "The Dark Ages". If conservatives have their way we will return to a time when one set of religious beliefs are forced on the entire population, when sex outside of marriage and contraception are illegal, where gangs of religious fanatics roam the streets attacking Gay and trans people, when books and movies that don't fit their archaic and rigid beliefs are banned and burned. This is not something out of Science Fiction, this is the way life was in this country less than 100 years ago and conservatives want to take us back to that time. Christians are always talking about the evils of "Sharia law" while at the same time trying to institute their own version of it here in America. Whenever they scream loudly and point an accusing finger at others you can bet your last thin dime that they are already guilty of that crime. Take molestation and sex trafficking, the Evangelical community believes, without a shred of evidence, that the "liberal elite" are all pedophiles, while you can't go a single day without hearing about yet another Catholic priest or Evangelical pastor getting caught with his hands down some pants. sex abuse is at epidemic like proportions in the Catholic and Evangelical church's and evidence is everywhere and yet they choose to ignore it and point fingers in the opposite direction without a shred of evidence. Are these thy type of people you want running this country and controlling your lives? So you may not like Biden and you may wrongly believe that the current inflation is his fault (which it isn't) but look at the alternative, a country run by psychotic religious fanatics. |
