Upgrading a vibrator - Step 1 complete.

This is a little more difficult that I thought it was going to be.
The small soldering iron I was planning on using isn't generating enough heat to melt the solder in order to connect my lengths of wire to the motor.
The other challenge is that the barrel that contains the heating element on my "normal" soldering iron is about the diameter of a AA battery. As previously mentioned, AA batteries fit very snugly in the compartment which means I have very little room to either see what I'm doing or solder without making contact with the plastic.

As a workaround, I bent the small loops from the notor mount up, and fed a small length of wire through it before folding the loop back down to hold the wire in place. Its not perfect, but when I connect those 2 lengths of wire to a battery, it starts buzzing.

Step 1 complete, Now comes the fun part... Programming!
I'm going to start with a simple pulsing signal. Once I figure out how to get a basic repeating pattern going, I'll then worry about complicating things by adding sensors that will change the strength and regularity of those signals.

What can I say?
