Some on sites liek this are great at on line, but the reality of face to face scare the hell out of them. And, if you did met, your perceptions would quite likely lead to disappointment anyway. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

BTW, I have connected with a luthier who is going to make a Irish Bouzouki for me. He had been thinking about making one for his line, so he is as excited as I am to make a unique instrument. So far, the basic shape, the scale length 25-1/2 , body size 14-7/9" at widest point, 4-1/8" deep, and and shape of the sound hole, along with the sure of a floating bridge, bones saddle and nut, Canary wood fret board, mahogany neck (Clapton shape), Back will have walnut and a third piece running up the middle of canary wood. Spruce top. Either clear or a canary wood pick guard if it can be cut thin enough. Going to put in a Fishman system most likely. Pyramid strings.ebony bridge. Triangle shaped fret markers and the sound hole will have a circle of triangles. The binding will have small triangles The sound hole will be shaped like two trapezoids put back to back. The sides are not determined. Discussing Koa or Bubinga, but possible Indian Rosewood. Trying to get a more mellow sound than the typical bright sounding Irish Bouzoukis, Which seem to use more Maple for back and sides, often stained dark. Might use gold colored tuning pegs to go with hte canary. But leaning toward Chrome with black knobs. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

When those long forgotten pop back up it's like remembering your first brain freeze......the sweet taste and then that numbing cold that brings you back around to do it one more time.
