Dude, you are really into cycles.

But you miss the larger point that the Volvo is the perfect reflection of the moment described. And there it was, 100% not fictionalized.

As for paint, Jeep often gets it right. They have a cool steel grey color (goog "Renegade trailhawk"), and they call it ... Anvil!!! Gotta love that one. My Wrangler is called "Dune". Harley's should not be so froofy.

 Having survived two marriages I find it somewhat suprising that I still believe in the concept as both an ideal and an institution. One perhaps somewhat tarnished by the reality of modern society but then there seems little in modern society that doesn't somehow tarnish higher ideals.
Rather like a 2020 Volvo wagon, which is not the live forever tank of an earlier era but still fundamentally seems to serve some of the same purpose while it lasts I guess.
