So, about that date...
I was going to finally be with Steve again, and the waiting was driving me crazy! I should have waited longer to get ready, but I wanted to be sure that everything was as perfect as it could be.

Right on time at 7:00 I heard a knock. Thank God he was on time!

I took a deep breath and opened the door, where I saw the handsomest man I've ever laid eyes on. We met at the doorway and before I could say a word, he took me in his arms and gave me a long, deep, passionate kiss. I just melted.

He guided me to the sofa, where we just kissed and held each other for several minutes. It had been more than a year. but the memories quickly came rushing back of how good a man smells, how good he feels, how good he tastes, how good it is to feel his lips and hands on you.

Then, we just sat and talked for while, filling each other in on what we had been doing. We had been emailing and chatting, but there's so much more to say when you're face to face.

I had prepared a simple meal of pasta and tomato sauce, and we shared a bottle of wine and had a nice, relaxing dinner. It was a wonderful evening - even better than I had expected.
