Did you remember to write a letter to Santa with your 'wish list' of presents you'd like him to bring you? Uh .... No. I haven't done that since I was a youngster many many moons ago. Was life any more magical than when you believed in Santa Claus and could hardly sleep the night before Christmas? Magical times indeed. When my daughter was young, I'd rub my finger on a piece of charcoal and then lightly touch her nose to transfer some as she slept. I told her Santa always touched children's noses to make sure they were asleep before he spread the toys about. I'm sure that left little doubt she had encountered Santa as she slept. I'm sure you want to join me in wishing everyone here a very Merry Christmas .... Maybe someone here will wake up with a smidgen of chimney soot on their nose. [image] Make Women Female Again

The small county I live in had a number one could call Santa on to tell him what one wanted. it was fun answering that phone and talking to those kids. I still don't remember how I, got the job, think one of my friends did it and asked me to take the calls as well. Talked to many excited kids...

A lovely idea with the charcol. When I was a child, long before people started to cover their houses with a gazillion lights. I used to love to walk down the road & see all the Christmas trees in peoples front rooms all light up. To me that was more magical than all the houses lit up, but modern kids probably feel the same aboout the houses. I know for a fact that Santa is real, because he used to live in my house! Well at least one of his stand ins did. My father was a teacher, he also started a gymnastics club & was very active in his church. Every year, right up to being in his ninties. He used to put on his red suit, get his beard on & meet various groups of kids to hear their Christmas wishes. Yes, I'm sure he enjoyed it at least as much as the kids.
