I saw this meme and it made a certain amount of sense to me.. As noted in a previous blog, I'm not one to dissect a thought and look at it from every possible angle .... I'm the "OK - Why not?" sort.

Exactly - Let's leave it to the peanut gallery to educate us and the rest of the readers the full ramifications, etc. of this thought. I think it's one of those subjects that will get a lot of good feedback.

Yeah .... One thought I had was that a person can be 'attracted' to more than the other person's physical attributes... Like attracted to their mind, philosophy on life or their hobbies. Is that diving too deep?

No, I don't think so. I'm sure everyone is going to have their own 'take' on what attraction and connection means to them as it relates to others. I think you could reverse attraction and connection in this meme and it would still make sense to a lot of people. I'm pretty sure the thought isn't carved in granite anywhere as a universal thruth of the universe.

For there to be a connection
first there must be an attraction

Yeah ... That would certainly seem to be the logical sequence of things .... With the computer age, one could form a connection without seeing the oother in certain circumstances I'd think though.

Many of us have formed an attraction towards 'closing time' have we not?

I've known some beautiful women that put me right off when they started to speak. The attraction was there but a connection would never be possible.

Yeah, I think most would agree you need the attraction to start working towards a connection.

Often said of people who meet for a brief but intense moment and then part, never to see each other again. These people are like two ships that greet each other with flashing lights and then sail off into the night.

I would say attraction starts the relationship.
But connection is needed if it's to continue.
