OK ladies of the peanut gallery.... You're gonna have to educate me on when the yoga pants 'fashion' came into fashion. It seems to me it's been a least a couple of years, but it may have been longer than that.

Whenever it was, I'd like to thank the person or persons who got the ball rolling. Being a legs and ass man, yoga pants set both off really well and this is one fashion I hope never ends .... as opposed to jeans with holes in them or ripped etc. Who came up with that idea? It will go the way of disco sooner rather than later I think.

I hope wearing yoga pants never goes away either ... Well, at least in most cases. It great to see them on a lady who has a figure for them, but it's not a pleasant sight to see ladies wearing them that are, shall we gently say, BIG. Oh Gawd .... Am I gonna get a broadside for 'body shaming' for pointing that out? Oh go ahead ... I'm a big boy and I can take it.

No dude, I'm with you - There are ladies that should wear them and there are ladies that shouldn't. Let's be equal opportunity employers shall we? If men wore them ( Do men wear them? ) the same caveat would apply. People either have the body for them or they don't .... That's what's called an 'opinion' for anyone easily triggered.

Those women doing Yoga and sticking with a certain regimen most likely have the bodies that attract eye views.

But probably it is comfort not fashion that propels the popularity.

I've been doing Yoga each morning for the last 20 years and comfortable clothes are necessary considering some of the more challenging poses. Shorts are my go-to Yoga wear.

If the ladies wanted to wear shorts vs yoga pants, I'd be down for that! Nothing like a nice ass and a great pair of legs in shorts ... Flip flops too, of course.

Yeah .... But that ain't happening here in the cooler/cold months. 20 years of yoga? Good on you!

I took a yoga class to help my back - ( really works ), but the stress is being the old guy in the room hoping all the deep breathing doesn't make you fart

Yikes! I never thought of that aspect to yoga.

You should take your dog with you and blame it on him.

I had to laugh at boh's response because my bestie is always telling me that's why she doesn't do yoga

Does your bestie own a dog?

Same advice applies .....

When I started to read boh99's comment I thought,
oh maybe I should do it for my back.

Then I read on, yeah, maybe not.

I agree with you on wearing stuff you can carry off, same applies to some
male fashions I guess.

Saw a woman get out of a car at the supermarket today. May have been tights
rather than Yoga pants. Didn't want to look too closely.
She either had a large & rather odd shaped butt, or she had a nappy/diaper on
under her very tight tights.
Not a good look.

Yikes ... That would not have been a pleasant sight at the grocery store ... You'd think people would have better sense that to wear diapers? under tight clothing.

Yeah, you'd think. On the other side of the coin, some people are of the "I could give a sh*t what anyone thinks" persuasion.

I have never understood the torn pants look. And, they pay extra for that. If they really want such, I will tear them for free.

I don't really get it either. Fashion is an odd thing and women certainly get caught up in it.

Fashion is for people who don't know who they are.
