GOD this is gonna be a complete clusterfuck so yeah..if you've been keeping up you'll know that I'm flying back east before my mom passes on... I am constantly being emailed telling me to hurry the fuck up cause mom can't last long etc..hey I'm doing my best..tickets with little notice cost 890 dollars + I was lucky to get a priceline special ticket and they get to choose the depart time. And now I get an email from my brother... How the fuck he got my email addy is beyond me I haven't seen,talked or emailed him in 25+ yrs.... The reason? he got addicted to pain meds..he hurt his back/got kicked out of the military/is a doctor himself and had easy access to pain med through the va docs.... Who then finally grew tired of his bs and cut him off. He had the deed to my parent's house in his name for financial reasons...and one night hired a realtor to place a for sale sign in the yard..yep mother fucker was selling my parent's home while they still lived there!!!!....just so he afford to buy pain meds illegally on the street.. I fucking kidd you not. He also openly criticized my older brother that was dieing of an aggressive skin cancer Plus through the years he done shit and said shit belittling my brother to my aging mother So yeah.. chances are I'm gonna run head first into this shit storm during my visit Bad enough i have to deal with the depression of my mom slipping away.. in an environment that freaks me the fuck out.. oh how I loathe hospitals I hate the lighting/the smell..can't stand to be in one for long periods of time.. Now it seems like I have to deal with this shit head. I really was hoping to avoid him completely. He actually wrote in tonight's email " that I need to fly to x/y/z airport cause we need to come together as a "family" in this time of need...". Family?? er yeah like the time you actually SOLD my parents house.. my bad..did I leave the best part out? yep he not only put up a realtor sign...he sold the house .. .but we ( the bought it) .. but we fucked him royally and excluded him out of this family land deal...so karma is a bitch and his share went to buying back the house.. so in the end he got only what he deserved... After that? never saw him since... Hell I missed coming home for my dad and brother's funerals just avoid him. ( and that is saying boatloads!!! And honestly don't know how I'm gonna react if I do run into him. |

Sounds like a trap!!! Beware.You should travel alone and keep an open mind.I do this and get rewarded at every step of my journey.

Just said another prayer for you. You're doing the best you can dealing with your brother and the only thing that helps is setting boundaries and staying away as much as possible. Seems these situations bring out the best and the worst in families. sigh

Hard to say anything from a distance & not knowing much..... but you are doing this for you & your mom. Everything else you can decide when you get there.
