A thanksgiving reboot... Alot of people...which apparently make up something called the twitterverse... it has to be real cause it is always being quoted in news stories.. Suggested that the south american carivan is compariable to the pilgrims on the mayflower. What if the natives turned the pilgrims away? Er they couldnt cause the native population was basically dead in that area. Do you really think native americans would just give up their land to a bunch of whiteys? Esp considering they are armed with those ancient 1 shot every 10 minute rifles? Anyway that isnt the point of the blog...what we were taught in schools about that first thanksgiving was wrong. Its now a history rewrite and a thanksgiving reboot . White people of european descent are now the invaders...they previously brought diseases that the natives had no immunity to. Hell they didnt even eat turkey on the first thanksgiving? Huh...no turkey..really..around here wild turkeys are so numerous one nearly flew through my car windshield. They are almost as bad as deer. No turkey..my ass.. If the native americans shared their boundy with the white settlers like we were told in school...they only did so because they were out by the evil white men. I mean look at that news story about the us missionary and that island tribe in<b> india...</font></b>the natives..any natives arent gonna let you just walk into their area..more or less set up shop. Foreigners will be killed...they shoot arrows at your ass. So how is it that these white people co existed with the natives in that area....and had this supposed "thanksgiving"? Yep white priveledge. Lets get real..the white people landed on an area that didnt have a huge native population. The only reason for them to have ANY contacts with the natives is either survival or a trade partner. And no i serious doubt the natives told them how to plant corn.. Do we see corn fields in any other native americans history? Is there any mention of them being farmers? Shoot no reason to hunt deer or buffalo..we got all this corn we grow in the back forty,. How do you plow a field with no iron for a plow or oxen?.. plus corn takes a shit load of time to grow..even then its an iffy crop. So its basically an early version of " dances with wolves"...minus the crappy kevin costner acting. Iets be honest..there was no first thanksgiving..it is some crap that a company like hallmark etc created. Im really surprised there isnt a push to rename it native american day. |

And yes...this is the reason you dont let thousands of foreigners just waltz across your boarders...no doubt new diseases will emerge that werent seen in the us previously.. Like that new polio like disease that mysteriously disabled like 20 kids . Maybe if the natives build a wall...just joking

Notes should be compared. What did the natives put in their records compared to that of the European interlopers of that tome. I hear that pilgrims would have starved had they not stolen Indian supplies of corn. Indian corn, fancy that. I just noticed that. Interesting.
