Mean people? The kathy Griffin effect Let's be honest the real reason alot of people are mean is because they sit anonymously behind a computer screen. Now the bigger problem arises when the same behavior happens in public..say a patron writes something racist on a restraunt check. Joe average gets outted on the news,they might get fired. But when your a star,rich,part of the 1 percent most anything goes.. Kathy Griffin shows a pic of a decapitated president...nothing happens to her..  the fbi popped over and chatted with her...us? We would have our doors busted down and treeted like we were terroristBill Maher drops the n word on his show...well he's still employed and doing fine. Same thing with Samantha bee. Sen al Franklin steps down after a pic of him kissing a sleeping woman on a plane pops up...he is labeled a molester in the # me too movement.. A year later and reps from the dem party state maybe they were harsh on al..and don't blame the dem female caucus for forcing him out..huh. So if stars, Congress people,the elite don't face punishment..for their hate filled words Then ofcourse slob joe on the corner thinks it is perfectly acceptable to call AOC a total c...o We become a hateful society because certain types of hatred are not only allowed but praised.. Brie larson came out in an interview and said she didn't want any white men to see her movie. The Asian woman that played rose in star wars tweeted that she hates white men. That guy from key and peel now directs and said he will not be hiring any white actors for his movies Now imagine if tom cruise came out and said black people shouldn't see his movies..or that he hates black men or he won't hire black men for his movies.. Hatred is hatred..yet some people get rewarded for it..some sectors applaud it and keep up the delusion that it is acceptable. So if we are a hate filled society...filled with those that stir the pot and are rewarded handsomely for it.. Then why are we suprised that we get a president that anger tweets |

Disagree with you. This seems like an anti-Democrat screed! We have the most dishonest, corrupt, abusive, racist man as POTUS, you didn't mention it! An entire new network--Fau Fox) acts as his PR firm & Defense team--you didn't mention it! Just a frustrated conservative bashing liberal!

How so? I stated that I disagree with the presidents behavior..but I also made the case that other leaders aren't acting professional..if not even hateful or racist. I talked about a scotus justice, a Congress person, a bishop, a ceo, an actress, a comedian etc. Not once did I defend nor apologise for trump. I succeeded in my argument that alot of professionals are hateful, stir the hate, support the hate and even benefit from the hate. We are toxic so why are we surprised by a toxic president. I used alot of liberal examples because there aren't many conservatives running around with a pic of the President decapitated I gladly give you the floor and hopefully you will explain your comment in greater detail

My point to all of this is to show toxic behavior is all around us..from the President to actors..to sports stars to grandmothers. But at the same time we bash one person,one kind of hatred yet warmly embrace another..

Come Leo, I'm sure your mother ask you more than once if joe on the corner jumped off the bridge would you think it a good idea jump off the bridge also? While comedy is not all or even mostly funny, and is absolutely tasteless for sure, the first amendment does allow comedians to poke fun of politicians and the n word has been around in comedy since Lenny Bruce blew the doors off of appropriate language in comedy. "We are toxic so why are we surprised by a toxic president." . . Therein lies the problem . . We aren't toxic!!

Yet though comedy is comedy..it can also be used to promote hatred. My point is we want to hold trumps feet to the fire for his rhetoric... But say Congress woman Omar has said very anti semetic things. No one tells her to just stop stop..hell the dems wanted to hold a hearing to condemn her speech. But nothing happened. She continues to put down jews and the Israel narion. She is biased and a bigot...and applauded because she Twitter wars with trump. You don't think having We as a people are toxic and yep racist etc..but we give certain people a pass You don't think having a toxic pres..a toxic ceo..a toxic bishop..a toxic Congress person..a toxic comedian isn't reflective of a toxic nation?

The first amd. Doesn't protect you from threatening the President and dropping the n word is straight up racism and hatred. No one should get a free pass. Yes both are great examples of America being toxic and it being perfectly fine.. Oh that's Kathy griffen..oh that's bill Maher..thats Samantha bee..they are on our side...so their hate speech doesn't count ? It's okay for an actor to call out a while gender or race...and that isn't toxic
