"Inside" sucks sweaty balls or, how the pandemic seems to have ruined Bo Burnham. My friend Luke introduced me to the comedic stylings of Bo Burnham. He is a bit odd, I’ll admit, but that is precisely why I like him. He is one of those people who’s act you might refer to as an acquired taste. He doesn’t just stand there and tell jokes about airline food with witty punchlines, his shows are surreal, full of unexpected and often childish nonsense, and unlike anything I’d ever seen. He has 2 / two stand up specials called “what“ and “Make happy” and I highly recommend them both. What I suggest you stay away from, as if it were the digital plague, is his newest special that was produced at home, during the pandemic. It is appropriately called, “Inside” and it is awful.
