Disappearing acts?

A number of people - either friends or watched blogs - have recently disappeared from my version of Alt. For example Princess Tinks (stupidly can't recall her exact screen name!) is now no longer a friend, has fallen off the list of watched blogs, and seems to have disappeared from the site without a trace. Is this just me or are other people having the same experience?

 If someone closes down their profile, for whatever reason, or updated their profile and are pending "approval" they simply disappear. Their blogs and any comments they made on other blogs go poof. If they return, or when their profile gets approved, they and all their posts/comments, etc... reappear.

Tink may have just closed her profile for a while.
