AYNYA'S SHINY MAILBOX

. I found this another's as a way for us communicate here while Alt works some of the new bugs.

This site seems make it nearly impossible for some members communicate. Even when members have plenty of points and are obeying rules when they do try, often they have trouble with messages being blocked, etc. So, I have this post.

If you wish a private message that others can't see, this post is set so you can do that.

If you'd like RECEIVE private messages, you can make a post like "shiny new mailbox" your own blog, where others can answer you.

Here's how:

Go your blog.
Click "add a post".

Type your desired title, (such as mine being "Aynyas mailbox")

Type your message text, (such as mine being this long explanation you are reading now)

"sticky post", select where you want it located in your blog (most pick "top", so your new mailbox stays where others can find it easily)

" can view this post", if you set it " Alt members", then people outside the site can't read, by accessing it through some search engine, anywhere on the web.

"I want pre-review..." if you select " responses before they show ", then no the site can read it, except you. Any messages you receive will stay here, you delete them.

Click the "Add" button, and then, go back and check your blog. You should now have a way others can you a private message or answer you left on their blog.

Caution: When you do receive a message from someone, once you've read it, make sure "delete this comment". If you select "approve this comment so others can see it", EVERYONE will be able to read it, not just the person left the message. goes for selecting "add a comment" or "quote" or "respond" on the left side. Those will cause it to appear, EVERYONE, not just the person left a private message. So go THEIR blog and hopefully they'll have a mailbox where you can them an answer.
