social isolation, for 7 days, Now they are getting in some state of panic. The count is 385, And they have decided that the people in Brabant have isolate themselfs. no work, no church, no family visiting. Bút, héy, you can still go your local pub! When you go from your pub visit your elderly family member, you maybe can get them infected with the virus, and you should not do that... Events, football matches need be cancelled, But, only in the south of Holland, in Brabant, but you still can go your pub.... I really wonder what they are thinking? If they do that at all? I geuss they are getting in a state of panic. Finally! Countrys all around us, take very strong measures. and that whoosh here, tells us; dont shake hands, cough in your elbow, use paper handkerchiefs, and you will be safe... AAArrhhh!! |

yes there is some confusion going on . here in NY the schools start closings,,,stuff gets cancelled . boston called off their st paddy's parade ,,,NYC still thinking about it.. best of luck to you !!

Harvard is stopping their in person classes in a few days. They just made the announcement. The university I work for is telling us to prepare for no in person exams and to create assignments instead. One of the associations I belong to has just notified us that the upcoming conference in Warsaw is now postponed until Dec. I am preparing to stay in my house for a few weeks. I think that we are all going to be interacting virtually and seeking in home entertainment. I just read a twitter thread from an American Prof who is currently in Italy, about what is happening, and how two weeks ago all of these measures were scoffed at over drinks in a restaurant, and now everyone is encouraging more protective measures. Italy is really leading the way, this morning they said that mortgage payments, debt payments, etc. are all to be on hold for a certain time period. Ireland cancelled their St. Patty's parade as well! Where I am not much has been cancelled and they are telling us just to keep washing hands and to stop hoarding toilet paper. I'm supposed to join in with a reading group on Friday, where I have to travel for quite some time on buses. I am cancelling. Yeah I will accept being called paranoid LOL. You found parts of me I didn’t know existed and in you I found a love I no longer believed was real.

Daddyslilpunkin, In Italy you cant go to the funeral, anymore, they wil bury your loved one, without you being there... There is this attraction park, in Holland, De Efteling! ( a tongue breaker,  ) And they just stay open, It is always very, very crowded there!!You must be mad, to want to go there, now, just because your children are not going to school... People are stupid! Big events, over 1000 people, are all cancelled, but only in the South of Holland, events with under the 1000 people just can continue....  Take care, stay safe!

roaenaluin I had to laugh at a TV interview with your PM where he strongly advocated that people should not shake hands anymore & then he shook hands with the presenter after he said that !!!!! What an eediot !!!!

Saw my Doc today for follow up on neck surgery. He told me; wash your hand, wipe door knobs, light switches, countertops, and anything else you touch a lot with alcohol. So yes the bars/pubs should be the safest place to be. I lived through the influenza in 77 (almost died), the Cholera in 81 (africa) kept hydrated and lived, E Coli in Chicago (Hudson beef) IV in hospital for 3 days, and been struck by lightening (while working in a hospital). So what the **#* are you all worried about.
