1 metre distance, continuation Being back in the warzone. It was not that busy in the shop, Thank The Lord! Every one was in a rush get into the shop! Herd mentallity. Yeagh! So, i found the things i needed, went to the kassière.... Wich all were wearing plastic gloves... No facial protection, at all but, well, hands are already 1 safety action. I was standing in line, it was not busy, this woman behind me in line, almost stands breathing into my neck! So do a step out of her breathing zone, down on me, turn around and ask; 1 metre distance? ever heard about it? Thank you! She looked at me! Totally confused! Did step back.... though.... Later on, she went out of the shop too and looked very angry at .... Sure!  Herd mentallity.... Gosh!!! Ignorance is no bliss, i know for sure now! The cassieres were all I asked; no protection glasses? No mouth masks? One told me; This is idiotic, it is that i have to, otherwise i wont wear them at all! A bit angry! Ah, well..... Before i took a cart out of the line, i cleaned the handles of the shopping cart..... When back in the house i washed my hands and cleaned everything i touched.... again...  tiresome, but maybe for the better, he? Who knows? If even the Health Organisation dont know.....

Finally "our" Holiness, the elbow shake person, decided to close the schools. After the Health Organisation really, really pressed him to do so...

It's been announced over here ( UK ) that over 70's will have to stay indoors for 4 months !!!! Criminals don't get that long !!!!

lancylad, That is no good! if you are a fit 70 year person? If you dont look like "a 70" person? If your immune system is in working order? active! It is self protection...i hope.... The thing is, the official organisations dont really know, what is going on, either, so they are trying to act calm and knowledgeble. No panic!!!

They are saying that this IS mandatory & will be enforced by the police !!!!! Doris has done nothing, you would have thought that being an island it wouldn't be difficult but, apparently, there were only precautions enforced at one UK airport & now the cat is out of the bag !!!!

Thanks for all the reactions. Social life as we knew it will be closed down! And, not only untill 3 or 6 or 7 April! In France they say, the amount of sick people will multiply every 3 days! Just like it did in Italy!

In Holland they now say, you need to be 1,5 metre apart from each other.! They dont understand that it seems that this virus stays alive outside the body.... Now, they say, they find an antibody..... it takes months to test this..... it is not like the flu virus, who needs body warmth to stay alive....
